What kind of items can I sell at Kent Auction Galleries Ltd?

We are currently running online auctions only.

We accept such a wide variety of items such as jewellery, silver, vintage and modern collectables, antiques, fine furnishings to name but a few.

 We do NOT take:

Soft Furnishings without a fire certificate (unless they are antique)
Divan style beds
White goods
Some electrical items

We would be happy to advise you regarding any items you would like to bring in for auction. If you are unsure whether an item would be suitable for sale please contact us . Items will be entered into the most appropriate sale at our auctioneers discretion.

How often do you hold auctions at Kent Auction Galleries Ltd.?

We are currently running online auctions only. These are taking place monthly and have a variety of items offered for sale including antiques, fashion, modern & collectable items.

What is the deadline for bringing in items for sale?

We enter lots into our auctions on a daily basis and continue to do this until the catalogue is full. We do not have a ‘deadline’ as such but we like to have the catalogue completed and ready for advertising a week in advance so as a rule all entries must be with us by Thursday the week before the auction.

How do I get an item valued?

How soon do I receive payment for items that I have sold?

Payment is made 4 weeks after the date of the auction by bank transfer into your nominated bank account. You will receive notification by email when payment has been made.

What are your opening hours?

We are open from Monday to Friday 10am to 6pm. If you would like to bring items in for auction please see our current submission dates

When are you open for viewing?

We are currently operating online only auctions. These auctions open for online bids on Thursday at 10.00am and close Sunday at 8.00pm.

Viewing is currently on the first 3 days of the auction:

  • Thursday 11am to 6pm
  • Friday 10am to 6pm
  • Saturday 1.30pm to 4pm

How do I bid on an item?

Do you have online bidding?

Yes,  we are currently offering online auctions only which are hosted by www.easyliveauction.com/kent

We also send regular updates via Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest.

When can I collect items I have won?

You are welcome to collect your purchases any time during our normal opening hours. Items must be collected or delivery arranged within 3 days of the auction. Please note collection is by appointment only, or we offer a local delivery service.

How can I pay for items I have won?

Our preferred method of payment is by debit card. We do not charge for debit or credit cards. We also accept cash. We do not accept payment by cheque. 

You will receive an email shortly after the auction allowing you to pay online for your items and request shipping. Please follow the instructions on this email to pay for your items. If you wish to collect please contact us to arrange an appointment.

Do you offer a shipping service?

We offer a packing service and shipping service. Where this is not cost effective you are welcome to arrange your own collection by courier. Packing fees are chargeable dependent on the size/quantity of items. Please contact us for further details or send a shipping request after the auction.

Do you offer a delivery service?

We offer a local delivery service based on a charge of £35 per hour including time taken for loading/unloading, transporting and distance between premises.
