How To Sell With Kent Auction Galleries Ltd.

It’s pretty simple. If you have any good quality items that you no longer need we provide a convenient and easy way for you to sell them.  Your items will be advertised for sale in our catalogues and live online auctions which can be accessed by buyers all over the world.

Before they are offered for sale we will email you with your lot numbers and auction date and after the sale we will let you know the selling prices achieved.   Your proceeds will then be paid directly into your bank account approximately 4 weeks after the date of the auction.

We sell a diverse range of items so if you are not sure if your items are suitable for sale please get in touch and we will advise you accordingly.

We do charge a small fee for selling your items at auction and these are set out further down the page.

Free valuations

If you require a valuation for any of your items before leaving them with us for sale, one of our valuers will give you a realistic estimate. Auction valuations are free of charge and can be obtained in the following ways:

If you do not require a valuation you are welcome to bring items in for sale on any day with prior appointment with us. We are open from 10am to 5pm Monday to Friday.

If you have a lot of items to consign for sale and cannot transport them yourself we can offer a collection service. This is charged at £25 per hour for 1 man or £35 per hour for 2 men. This includes time loading, transporting and distance between premises.   In most cases this charge can be deducted from your proceeds of sale rather than having to be paid in advance.

Probate/Insurance Valuations

Kent Auction Galleries Ltd. offer a professional and confidential service and can provide formal valuations for probate, separation or insurance purposes.

House Clearance

Whether it is associated with a bereavement, separation, relocation, refurbishment or just downsizing, clearing a property can be a stressful experience. Although selling to a dealer may appear to be an easy, low risk option a dealer is in business to make a profit so you are unlikely to be offered market values.

The open competition at an auction can often see expected prices exceeded thus ensuring that your items are sold for their highest market value. With this in mind Kent Auction Galleries Ltd. can offer you a professional, efficient house clearance service that can be tailored to your specific needs.

The cost of house clearances can vary a great deal depending on the size of the property and the service required. We therefore offer a free, no obligation assessment of the contents of the property and give you honest, expert advice regarding the most efficient and cost effective solution. You can then choose any or all of the following options:

Part Clearance

All Saleable goods are cleared by our own fully insured, trained removal team or our recommended outside carriers and brought to our saleroom for appraisal by our expert valuers. Every item is sorted and offered for sale on your behalf, giving you the opportunity to get the best possible return on any items of value. If we find a masterpiece in the attic we can offer it for sale to the widest possible audience so you can be sure that it’s true value will be realised.

Full Clearance

Saleable goods are cleared as above and any unsaleable items are removed and disposed of at a licensed waste facility.
